This math journal will deal with all of our fraction information. We will talk about naming fractions of regions and groups, identifying equivalent fractions, work with improper fractions and mixed numbers, and compare and order fractions.

- Flowering Fractions

A rather simple fraction game that has you combine fractions to make whole flowers. It does get a little more difficult as you increase levels, but it is still a pretty easy game overall. - Fractions of a Circle

A pretty basic game dealing with fractions...but still pretty fun to play. - Improper Fractions and Mixed Numbers Game

This game has you change improper fractions to mixed numbers and mixed numbers to improper fractions. After you have successfully completed several conversions, you get to defend the nest and keep the mean crows from stealing your egg from the nest. This game allows you to match fractions and pictures. As you get more and more correct, the number of fractions and pictures increases. - Naming Fractions

This game allows you to practice making pizzas with certain fractions of toppings. Can get a little tricky as it gets more difficult, but a fun game nonetheless.

mixed number - a number containing a whole number part and a fraction part

improper fraction - a fraction where the numerator is equal to or greater than the denominator

equivalent fraction - fractions that name the same number or same part of a set
